So I was stabbing a dictionary with a pen, and the ink went deep into the pages. It was insane! And so i kept singing 'The ink is spilling' and then I came up with this:
--
GOSSIP TALK
The ink is spilling
Flowing off the paper
The ink is spilling
Soaking even deeper
The ink is spilling
Staining you forever
The ink is spilling
Trapping you forever.
Forever.
Forever.
Oh god, they’ve whipped out their cellulars.
Oh god, the rumors are spreading worse
Oh god, tell me what I should do
Their fingers are working
Their eyes tell a story
Their fingers are working
Their mouths are silent.
Their fingers are working
Making their own additions.
Their fingers are working
Makes me scared to walk alone.
Their fingers are working.
Texting on their cell phones.
Why has this had to happen
I don’t know.
Why is there such a continuation
Heaven knows.
I can’t stand their staring faces
They all know
Get me out of here
Get, get, Get me out of here.
I don’t understand this human nature
Get me out of here
Get, get, Get me out of here.
I don’t understand this human nature
Kill them like a fly.
Kill it like a fly.
Shut it up.
Kill it like a fly.
They seem to have no soul.
And who would miss em
I don’t know, I don’t know
The ink is stained.
On my fingers
The ink is stained.
Here with me forever
The ink has soaked in.
You are stuck with it forever
And ever.
And ever.
And ever.

He entered the room swiftly, stopping right beside her, “Hey.”
She gave him a small smile in response.
He gazed at her reflection in the mirror, “You look beautiful you know.”
“Thanks.” She said quietly.
Placing a hand on her shoulder he cautiously questioned her, “Are you nervous?”
She gave a quick nod.
He chuckled quietly, “Don’t be. This is your day; everything is going to be perfect, just like how you imagined it.”
“Thanks Kyle.” She whispered.
“Hey, what are best friends for?”
She smiled back up to him once again.
He swiftly moved from behind her, and sat on the vanity to block her from her reflection.
“So you ready?” he asked.
She remained silent for moment, starring into her hands, “Am I doing the right thing?” she asked in a small voice.
“What?”
“Am I doing the right thing?” she repeated, “I mean, marrying Matt? It’s the right thing right?”
“Leah, look, you love him right?”
She looked up to him, “Yes, but—”
“Well then there you have it” he interrupted, “If you love him, then its right.”
She opened her mouth to retort, “But,”
“No buts. When you love someone, you want to do what ever you can to make them happy right?” he looked her straight in the eyes.
She nodded in agreement.
“So if you want to make him happy, marry him.” He stated simply.
She stayed quiet.
“Leah?”
“Are you happy?” she asked.
He didn’t answer at once. He placed his hand atop of hers, “If you’re happy, I’m happy.” He said.
She was taken back by this, but not surprised, “Do you think I should marry Matt?”
He squeezed her hand, “This is silly talk Leah.”
“Kyle.” She stressed.
He sighed, “Leah, I don’t think my opinion really counts at this point.”
“But it does!”
“Are you happy with him?” he asked quietly.
“Yes.”
He moved a stray piece of hair limply off the side of her face into place and murmured, “Then yes, you should marry him.”
She looked away from him and unconsciously nodded her head.
He jumped off the vanity and broke the tension, “Come on Leah, you’re going to be late for your own wedding.”
“Yeah. I don’t think my mom would be too happy about that huh?” she said getting up.
He offered his arm to her, “Come on, lets do this.”
She turned around and gave her best friend a hug. “Thanks Kye.” She whispered.
“No problem,” he said in a monotone.
She stepped back from him and smiled.
He smiled as well, “Come on, everyone’s waiting.”
